A portfolio interview is not a live reading of your website. It is a chance to show how you prioritize information, communicate decisions and reflect on your work.

A 15-minute structure

  1. 1 minute: career context and the types of problems you solve well.
  2. 5 minutes: your main case study: problem, role, decisions and outcome.
  3. 5 minutes: a second case study showing a different skill range.
  4. 2 minutes: lessons and what you want to develop next.
  5. 2 minutes: transition into questions.

Prepare for difficult questions

Be ready to discuss conflict, rejected directions, incomplete data, changing deadlines and one decision you would not repeat.
